The Grounds Services team is responsible for managing and maintaining the forest landscape at each of our villages, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys. Our expert teams are extremely passionate about the natural environment at Center Parcs, which our guests love to see.INTERNAL RANGER 12.63 per hourIn this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high quality interior sub-tropical landscape in accordance with the Company Standards of Performance and Planned Maintenance systems.Other responsibilities will include:High quality maintenance of plants; including watering, pruning and plant bed maintenance including carrying out fertiliser application regimesImplementing and monitoring pest control plans and strategiesAssisting the Grounds Team when required, with external landscaped areasLiaising with operating divisions in order to reduce the impact of essential maintenanceYou must be prepared to attend for additional duties during periods of adverse weather conditionsThe ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking and have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.You should be naturally cheerful and have excellent communication skills.Please note that this role will involve you working in hot / humid conditions as our Subtropical Swimming Paradise is heated to 29.5C all year round.HOURS OF WORKYou will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts are generally 6am - 2.30pm and will include weekend working.As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.ABOUT YOUEssential requirements:Full Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 6 monthsExperience in the Interior Landscaping and / or Nursery horticultural IndustryDesirable requirements:Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent experience / prepared to undertake trainingABOUT THE BENEFITSCenter Parcs is a fantastic place to work and the benefits are as impressive as they are unique.
