As a Sales Insights Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales Insights Manager by providing data analysis, insights, and reporting to drive strategic decision-making and optimize sales performance within our organization. Leveraging your expertise in business intelligence and data analytics, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to generate actionable insights that inform sales strategies and initiatives.

 

What will the employee do in this role?

Partner closely with Director, Business Development (DBD), Director Product Solutions (DPS), and Internal Sales Support Specialists to develop and provide data and analysis that is tailored to their role and/or Division and that will segment advisors, identify sales opportunities, and drive increased sales. Act as an “ambassador” in the home office and with the field for the First Command vision, the holistic planning process, and the Integrated Sales (IS) structure and operating model. Take ownership for IS deployment of Sales Force. This will Include the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IS Activity functionality within Sales Force; the appropriate configuration along with the drop-down prompts to be utilized by all IS team members. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve an IS Activity Dashboard, automatically populated with data feeds from the Sales Force IS Activity function, and update as trends or activity changes occur. Gain approval from the Head of Internal Sales and the Head of Integrated Sales. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve on an Integrated Pipeline/Opportunities Dashboard to be populated directly with data feeds from the Sales force IS Activity function, and update as trends or opportunity changes occur. Gain approval from the Head of Internal Sales and the Head of Integrated Sales. Train and support the Integrated Sales team members on Sales Force and internal processes, as appropriate. Enter all activity in Sales Force on the same day the activity was performed. Build trust and a productive working relationship with each DBD, DPS, and Internal Sales Support Specialist and work to ensure a high level of communication and partnership. Partner closely with the DBD, DPS, and Internal Sales Support Specialists to develop opportunity lists of clients and advisors for in-field sales initiatives. Stay current on industry trends, new product development, and industry best practices as it relates to the utilization of Sales Force. Source learning and accreditation opportunities that will help expand your subject matter expertise. Always represent First Command in the highest possible manner and ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

What skills & qualifications do you need?

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience with data analysis tools and software. Quantitative and analytical skills. Strategic mindset. Communication and presentation skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in business intelligence concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Understanding of data analytics techniques, including data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. Knowledge of sales operations, processes, and workflows. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools. Understanding of financial principles and performance metrics. Awareness of market research methods and competitive analysis. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
