Internal Sales / Customer Services Administrator – Polymer / Industrial Chemicals

Minimum requirements for the role:
A minimum matric is essential for the role. A tertiary qualification if preferred but not essential. Previous experience having worked as a Customer Service or Internal Sales Coordinator or related role within the chemical or plastics or related markets supplying the manufacturing industry is preferred for the role. Previous experience having worked with HDPE, PP and PET would be an added advantage. The successful candidate must be computer literate and ideally have experience working with SAP or a related ERP System. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and be proactive and self-motivated. Must have good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Must be methodological and have accurate work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Working closely with the sales, finance, distribution and warehousing teams to ensure that customers expectations of chemical raw materials are met. Liaising with customers regarding raw material chemical products they have ordered and making sure that customers are kept up to date on delivery. Maintaining backorders and opening orders on a daily basis. Ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments that are relevant to their customers. Attending weekly divisional meetings. Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries are dealt with timeously. Monitoring stock levels to meet customer’s needs, including reserved stock. Assisting with quotations and monthly pricing. Monitoring deliveries and ensuring that deliveries are done timeously. Communicating with customers with regards to order status, stock availability pricing etc. Liaising with transport companies on export orders internationally. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
