We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Internal Service Technician to join our Emerson team in Houston! You will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnostics, repair, calibration, and modification of actuator systems, primarily focusing on Emerson brand actuators. Work will be performed both in our shop and at customer sites, so flexibility and a dedication to field service are essential. The technician will be completing all associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, supporting inventory management, and maintaining tools and equipment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Represents the Company in dealings with customers and ensuring our customer’s satisfaction with the equipment.
Maintains product expertise through self-study and factory training.
Adheres to and follows all safety (OSHA, HASC), quality, customer and Emerson’s rules and regulations.
Works in accordance with Quality System to meet customer requirements and eliminate non-conforming products and services.
Delivers quality solutions and services to our diverse group of customers.
Maintains consistency and provide accurate documentation for work performed.
Enters all support documents, and logs utilizations time into Smartsheet as needed.
Corresponds with internal and external customers to fulfill service expectations.
Participates in development, implementation, and improvement of support policies, process and standard methodologies.
Travel may be required within North America, and occasionally overseas to render services on all products and systems manufactured by Emerson ACT at customer’s locations.
For This Role, You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with electrical wiring and related equipment, including AC/DC motors.
Proven ability to work independently while effectively managing time and priorities; also able to collaborate across teams and cross-functional subject areas.
Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Experience in industrial valve manufacturing
Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and working with various voltages
