Internal Talent Mobility Consultant

Position Summary

Acts as a strategic partner providing consultative support to hiring managers to effectively manage all aspects of the full-cycle recruitment for internal talent mobility processes, including employee transitions, career planning, internal transfer processing, and internal development programs. This role partners closely with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Learning, and other key stakeholders to develop and enhance internal mobility to support employee growth and align with organization retention strategy. The Internal Mobility Talent Consultant ensures compliance, consistency, and a personalized, positive  experience for team members seeking alternate opportunities at Kootenai Health.

 

Responsibilities

•    Manages the full-cycle recruitment internal transfer process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant transactions, coordinating between employees, hiring managers, and People Services team members to support a smooth internal transition

•    Serves as an internal mobility talent acquisition consultant and subject matter expert for hiring managers, adhering to the talent acquisition team Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal recruitment processes

•    Coaches, advises and collaborates with the People Services team and hiring managers to develop creative strategies for engaging and placing internal talent

•    Tracks applicant progress and maintains accurate records, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and service standards. Follows consistent practices that include, but are not limited to process for screening applicants, writing and extending offers in alignment with current Talent Acquisition processes 

•    Schedules, organizes and conducts weekly individualized Career Connection consultations to help employees explore career goals and internal opportunities, providing personalized recommendations on training, education, and professional development aligned with internal career paths and collaborating with Culture and Learning to connect employees to growth resources and prepare for advancement

•    Proactively supports career connection needs with planning and participation in table events and department meetings to promote opportunities

•    Guides internal applicants through the transfer process from start to finish, including but not limited to resume development and support, mock interviews, and job and career pathway navigation

•    Identifies career pathway development opportunities in the organization, partnering with appropriate team members and leadership for discussion and development when applicable

•    Proactively identifies and creates internal talent pools based on established internal mobility preferences and programs

•    Recommends and implements improvements to support talent mobility, employee retention, and Best Place to Work organizational strategies

•    Designs tools, guides, and training to support employee ownership of career development

•    Builds and maintains programs that foster mobility, succession planning, and retention in partnership with HRBPs internal stakeholders, modifying as needs of the organization change

•    Prepares, analyzes, and keeps track of talent mobility demographics utilizes internal mobility data, reports, and forecasts to measure program impact, assess performance, and support informed decision-making by recommending best practices based on analytics; provides consistent reporting to leadership for transparency into internal mobility activity; provides monthly reporting and with higher frequency as needed

•    Promotes internal mobility through career forums, job fairs, and other events, developing specific promotional material for business areas and locations

•    Develops materials to educate and present leaders on supporting internal talent and creating development opportunities

•    Develops strategies to promote internal opportunities and employee success stories

•    Supports internal offer generation and ensures consistent applicant communication throughout the process, within Talent Acquisition SLA metrics

•    Assists with external full-cycle recruitment as needed or assigned

•    Demonstrates values of the Kootenai Health Way

•    Performs other related duties as assigned

•    Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field

•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

•    Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

•    Associate’s degree and experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and related human resources experience required

•    Minimum 2 years’ in full cycle talent acquisition/recruitment/sourcing role required

•    Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Certification preferred

•    Proven specialized expertise in the field required, including, recruitment strategies, using a variety of applicant sourcing techniques and recruitment processes and tools required

•    Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems, and Internet sourcing techniques

•    Strong player and team collaboration orientation; adopts a “get it done together” attitude

•    Excellent skills in influencing, building and maintaining productive and professional relationships, interpersonal skills, negotiation, collaboration, and handling difficult conversations

•    Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment and/or commitment to promoting a diverse environment

•    Must be able to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment

•    Ability to analyze data and identify information trends with a creative problem solving approach

•    Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to a dynamic environment, changing priorities and working with multiple customers/clients

•    Ability to work with and maintain confidential information

•    Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

•    Ability and willingness to travel
