Who we are

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our International Compliance team as an International Compliance Manager.  This a hybrid position with the ability to work out of one of our HII facilities in Northern Virginia, Virginia Beach VA, Huntsville AL, Newport News VA, Syracuse, NY, San Diego, CA or Annapolis Junction MD.
 
As a member of the Mission Technologies International Compliance team, you will develop and manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities. 

Key Responsibilities: Advise the internal customer in international marketing strategies. Assist internal customer in the review of jurisdiction and classification of hardware and software products. Assist internal customer in analyzing and assigning Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS). Classification, licensing strategies and implementing operational processes for assuring trade compliance. Perform assessments and assist the Law Department and Corporate International Compliance Office in investigating and resolving compliance issues and questions. Assist in the internal customer with the implementation of compliance procedures. Responsible for drafting export and import licenses, commodity jurisdictions, permits and certifications. Monitor import activities, provide clearance details and respond to broker request for information. Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Develop and provide training to the International Compliance team and internal customers. What you need to have: 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience. Experience with ITAR and EAR regulations including the use of the exemptions and exceptions. Experience with the classification of products and software. Experience with U.S. Customs regulations. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Bonus points for: Experience with OCR EASE Software. Experience with ACE. Knowledge of United Kingdom and Australian Export Laws. Knowledge of the Foreign Trade Regulations.
