Position Summary

This entry level position will provide support and be responsible for collaborating with colleagues to ensure that certain importing and exporting activities of Teleflex Medical, comply with U.S. Customs, Food and Drug Administration, and Census Bureau laws and regulations.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Provide support to Teleflex personnel, external Customs brokers, and serve as a point of contact for US Customs clearance and FDA release verifications, to ensure adherence to government and company standards. 
•    Maintain records and track the flow of information among all stakeholders 
•    Cross-reference information and ensure data integrity 
•    Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to create information flow efficiencies
•    Data entry
•    Assist with preparing bill of ladings, utilizing SAP and Connect Ship routines and calculates freight charges by reference to carrier tariff; prepares pallets address labels
•    Assist with retrieving customer orders for purposes of billing customer; invoices customer once order is filled utilizing SAP programs.
•    Maintains files of shipping orders; compiles monthly reports of work completed by shipping associates.
•    Assists with printing the deliveries, creating the folders for exporting
•    Assist with sending invoices to Customer Service for shipment approval
•    Printing BOL, Invoices and COC’s as needed
•    Assist with booking FTL/Container shipments
•    Updating the stage report & sending to the team daily
•    Updating the daily status of export ready shipment board
•    Assist with ensuring container are PGI’d upon departure
•    Assist with ensuring all emails are printed an placed in the corresponding folders daily
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma or GED required. Associates / Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
•    Strong interpersonal and team building skills to manage relationships between all levels across business units as well as externally.
•    Excellent communication skills, written and oral
•    Proactive, well-organized, and highly motivated. Must be team player!
•    Strong problem-solving skills.
•    Must be goal oriented.
•    Ability to communicate and operate effectively with multiple teams.
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
•    Adapt to shifting priorities, able to resolve problems/conflicts, reasoning ability.
