International Exports Manager

Purpose Statement

The International Exports Manager  will be responsible for identifying and coordinating logistics and leverage opportunities across all Business Units (BUs) with an emphasis on US and Mexico exports to global markets. Furthermore, this role will have an emphasis on Customer Service and Logistics, with a direct line to Customer Service & Logistics leadership as well as global market leaders.

The International Exports Manager  will also serve as the primary escalation point for exports. Responsibilities will include supporting on-going Supply Chain initiatives and cross-border activities, identifying and facilitating new cost savings, and process improvement opportunities across the region.

*Buffalo, NY area residents are required to work a flexible daytime hybrid schedule of working from home Mon & Fri and working onsite Tues-Thurs at world headquarters. (No Exceptions)

 

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Accountable for all international shipments throughout global markets stemming from multiple sourcing locations within US and Mexico plants.

Accountable for keeping Demand Fulfillment SOP’s up to date and all parameters aligned between the source plants and the import markets. Focus on supply parameters and inventory targets.

Identify and execute new COGS savings initiatives on a yearly basis.

Manage carrier relationships; optimize total supply; Service, Demurrage, etc.

Work within country logistics for optimal configuration; work with export managers to ensure synergies.

Accountable for keeping the Rich organization up to date on all legal aspects in regard to international commerce.

Document and identify gaps or exposure due to non-compliance and implement plans to eliminate exposure.

Responsible for managing the department’s budget.

Maintain all necessary records, permits, documents in a secure location ensuring immediate access tothem in case of internal or government audit.

Develop and execute internal auditing on freight/customs broker spending.

Accountable for coordinating and communicating with supply, demand and fulfillment planning departments to fill customer orders and achieve agreed upon service level metrics.

Active participation with sales & operations teams to provide exceptional implementation of new processes and to identify customer-oriented solutions to the logistical and commercialization process.

Identify and analyze any logistics solutions and overall cost reductions/margin improvements.

Track and continually improve on key performance business metrics.

Support ongoing regional business growth needs (New Business).

Process all RPC export orders in accordance with ICS&L established policy.

Be the voice of the customer by providing key information to the regional sales manager and all supporting parties inside and outside of the organization.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience More than 5 years of International Supply Chain, customer service, foreign trade, and compliance experience Communication and personal relations skills Negotiation skills Strong analytical skills to be able to measure distribution costs and inventory availability Logistics export experience with knowledge of documentation and freight forwarders People Management Skills Solid understanding of Demand and Supply Planning (e.g. solid understanding of capacity restraints) Ability to solve conflict situations Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written skills, bilingual communication skills is a plus Working knowledge of SAP and basic Microsoft Office suite Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills while under pressure

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$103,626.14 - $155,439.21
