Job Description

The Firm is looking to recruit an AVP to join the finance team responsible for a number of our European funds. The AVP will be an integral member of the team in London and will report to the Senior Vice President leading the London Fund Finance team.

Responsibilities

The AVP will act as a key liaison between a variety of internal and external stakeholders including, among others, European and global finance teams, treasury and accounting functions, investor relations, and auditors.

Fund accounting and administration: work directly with internal and external service provider teams to strike monthly NAVs and validate corporate level activity, including but not limited to, monthly subscription and redemption activity, distributions, promote calculations, management fee calculations and NAV allocations across the Credit platform including private credit funds, commingled funds, CLOs, SMAs, and listed closed end fundsLiquidity Management / Investor transactions: actively monitoring the liquidity of the entire fund structure including supporting treasury operations for monthly investor subscriptions, redemptions and distributions; liaising with stakeholders to ensure sufficient cash is available when and where required; coordinate with the appointed service providers to monitor funds available for distribution to support the fund’s distribution policyFP&A: Analyse complex financial information to provide meaningful, accurate, and timely financial performance reporting to the board and other senior stakeholders for decision making purposesReporting: Assist and in some cases lead the organization of Luxembourg / Irish Board meetings and materials across multiple asset classes / business lines and coordinating the delivery of internal and external teams to ensure that the reporting is efficient and robustFinancial Reporting: manage the delivery of yearly and half yearly financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP and local regulatory requirements, including project management of external audits

Valuations: Supporting the Valuation team to ensure appropriate and accurate accounting adjustments are made in determining the Fund level NAVTax compliance: working with internal Tax teams and advisors to ensure Fund level compliance and investor reporting needs are metNew Business: key stakeholder in the launch of new funds and structures, involving internal and external legal, tax, and business teams, advising on structuring, formation documents and operational frameworksAssisting with ad hoc technical accounting matters and other projects throughout the year

Qualifications & Skills

Degree and ACA qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience5+ years of work experience, with credit and/or asset management sectors a significant advantageIFRS accounting / financial reporting (either in industry or in an audit capacity) is a significant advantageSuperior analytical and financial skills, including strong knowledge of finance and accounting and exceptional Excel and PowerPoint expertiseConfident to build relationships and be the primary contact point for a range of senior stakeholdersConfident and inquisitive mindset that seeks to fully understand, be accountable for and improve delivery of their responsibilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, strong time management skills and attention to detailWillingness to take on additional projects and support others in the department outside their direct responsibilities
