About International Personal Lines (IPL) 

IPL offers a wide range of products to meet the needs of the emerging consumer in the areas of Auto, Residential, Personal Risk Services and Specialty Personal Lines. These four lines of business vary in scope and coverage however converge when it comes to the target customer – the individual consumer. IPL is offered in over 30 countries and sold through various distribution channels, including agents and brokers, dealers, banks, mobile network operators, and many other partners. Today, IPL generates nearly $3B in net written premium, having tripled in size over the last 10 years. 

Internships with Chubb

Our internship program offers the chance to have practical, real world experience at one of the world’s leading P&C insurance companies. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on business specific projects where you will gain knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen your academic skills. 

The IPL management team is looking for an intern to support in the successful delivery of the Underwriting Authority Re-Statement project, with tasks that include but are not limited to: 

Perform detailed analysis of the existing Underwriting Authority levels across the organization and through various dimensions and criteria. Organize business requirements and collaborate with the Systems team to incorporate, on a line-by-line basis, all updates that ensure compliance with the newly developed division-wide Authority statements. Support the development and execution of communication strategies related to the updated Underwriting Authority protocols, including facilitating training sessions, creating reference materials, and addressing inquiries to ensure a smooth transition for underwriters across regions and countries.

This in-office internship is planned to start in February 2025 through May 2025. 

 

Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in many majors will be considered  Strong GPA preferred (3.0 required)  Oral and written communication skills  Leadership experience through work or involvement in community service, athletics, clubs, etc. preferred  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Clear evidence of a high level of attention to detail Passionate about seeking opportunities to contribute to the success of a global company. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while taking initiative and working independently
