JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Asset & Wealth Management team within Private Banking.

Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each function and region to mitigate operational risk. The team focuses on four areas: Control Design & Expertise, Risks & Controls Identification/Assessment, Issues & Control Deficiencies and Control Governance & Reporting.
Job Summary:
The Private Bank Control Management team works in partnership with the Business, as the first line of defense against operational risks that have a potential to impact the Bank. The team works in collaboration with all other control functions – Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and oversees the new Business Initiative Approval process. As a Business Control Management – Senior Associate in the Latin America Private Bank, you will be responsible for ensuring the Line of Business (LOB) has a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment, identifying and escalating issues with a sense of urgency, and partnering with the business to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner. The team assists in immediate, real time critical control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.
Job Responsibilities:
In partnership with stakeholders, evaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business’ risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols Perform ongoing analysis of control metrics (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategiesRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 3 plus years’ experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management or management consulting Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to edit and prepare executive level communication High degree of initiative, self-direction and a team collaborative approach to time-sensitive deliverables Ability to think clearly and strategically while managing competing priorities, using good time management and organizational skill Knowledge of control and risk assessment management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners Ability to analyze problems with keen attention to detail; Inquisitive and proactivePreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese language (Oral and Writing) would be a plus
