Job Description The International Recruiter at Texas State University is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract and enroll international students. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with prospective students, educational agents, and partner high schools around the world. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international education, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with varied audiences across different cultures and regions. The International Recruiter reports to the Senior Director of International Affairs. Job Duties + Travels overseas to visit agent partners, government entities, interested students, and admitted students. + Traveling can be an estimated 50% per year. + Develop in-person and virtual recruitment strategies to meet application, admission, and yield targets for International Affairs. + Implements the strategic plan of international recruitment, marketing, and yield efforts to attract students to Texas State. + Creates and maintains relationships with recruiting agents abroad, government entities, and international high schools from development, maintenance, correspondence, and coordination of efforts. + Develops yield campaigns for prospective and admitted students. + Guide and advise prospective students as their main point of contact to ensure that they are getting through the admissions process successfully and assisting with questions such as admissions, programs, scholarship, and visa processes. + Serve as a liaison between international students and on-campus departments, ensuring their needs are met pre-arrival. + Create plans, post on, and manage social media accounts for the office. + Assist in developing promotional materials, brochures, and digital content tailored to international students. + Updates and re-structures the International Affairs webpages as needed. + Track and report on recruitment efforts, including the number of applications, enrolled students, and trends in international student demographics, and analyze the data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and adjust tactics as needed. + Oversee the student ambassador program. + Performs other duties as assigned.
