International Shipping Lead

We are currently seeking a International Shipping Lead to join our growing team in Elk Grove Village, IL. As the International Shipping Lead you will lead and optimize international shipping processes in a dynamic and fast paced environment. In this pivotal role, you will ensure seamless transportation operations, drive continuous improvement and deliver world-class service to our global customers

Key Responsibilities                                                                                                                      

Investigate, verify, and resolve customer or shipper complaints, developing corrective actions and driving root cause analysis using the problem-solving process (PSP) methodology.Maintain accurate and organized hard copy files and electronic files for all shipments.Serve as the lead contact for International Customer Service teams for all inquiries regarding transportation and sales order inquiries.Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for international orders including Dangerous Goods Certifications, Packing Slips, Invoices, and customer-specific requests.Create and maintain ISO-compliant documentation for the International and Domestic Documentation Processes.Collaborate with the North America Logistics team and transportation providers as needed to improve shipment documentation efficiencies to improve First Pass Yield of customer shipments.Achieve and maintain certifications in hazardous materials handling and transportation (IATA/DOT/IMDG).Support daily KPI objectives and maintain 5S.                     Act as a backup to the Order Management Supervisor, providing critical support when needed.

Requirements                                                                                                                                  

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – (BA or BS)3-5 years of experience in logistics or manufacturing environment, hazmat knowledge is a plus.Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, Word, and Access and other 3rd party software (DG Office, ACE Support, X-Carrier)Strong understanding of business acumen and strong analytical skillsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsDemonstrated ability to lead, prioritize, and multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $30.00 - $32.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
