Summary About the Position: This position located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. Responsibilities Maintains administrative requirements per regulations, policies, and/or procedures concerning student pay vouchers, follow on-training, student processing, and billeting requirements, academic failures, and all required reports. Focuses on student records from, resource management, logistics, human resources, and training. Prepares briefing charts ranging from simple word charts to complex charts with integrated graphics. Resolves problems in student training, pay/IMS debit cards and pay vouchers, travel, billeting, graduation, etc. by making appropriate recommendation. Serves as an advisor for the Security Assistance Training Program (SATP) to include administration, training, modifications, training management and student disposition. Obtaining and using a wide variety of information to resolve substantive problems involving international students in accordance with Department of the Army guidance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Advising on course of action and/or offering recommendations to the staff in dealing with international students involving language, cultural, religious, disciplinary problems, and other sensitive areas. 2) Resolving problems in student training, travel, billeting, graduation, etc. by making appropriate recommendation. 3) Performing duties as a coordinator for international military students. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Computer Skills Oral Communication Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
