**Job Description**
**Job Summary:**
The International Student Services Associate will help with the daily functions of the International Student program, including answering prospective F-1 student questions, performing administrative tasks, helping attend, plan and set up events (such as recruitment fairs, new international student orientation, and programming events). They will also help current F-1 students at the College by answering basic questions students may have as well as help process certain forms and paperwork that current students may need.
This position will report to the International Student Coordinator.
**Job Duties:**
+ Perform administrative office tasks and student outreach related to the international student program.
+ Assist the International Student Coordinator with various international student events and programming.
+ Provide basic support to current international students.
+ Manage international program social media accounts.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Proficiency in written and spoken English
+ Eligibility for Student Employment or Work Study
+ Basic skills using Computer, Internet and videoconference such as Zoom or Teams
+ Strong foundation using Microsoft Excel
+ Friendly demeanor and ability to communicate verbally
**Student Worker Eligibility:**
To be eligible for appointment as a Student Worker Paraprofessional you must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate educational program or plan to enroll within three months. Students may be “off” for the summer or for one semester/quarter and remain employed as a student worker, but such absences cannot exceed one semester/quarter in a year. If you are enrolled at a credit-granting institution you must carry at least six semester/nine quarter credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, you must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class) load will be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Educational Verification form prior to appointment.
