International Tax Manager

Overview: 
The International Tax Manager is responsible for the U.S. components for the federal tax compliance; quarterly and annual income tax accounting (provision) for the consolidated global group; with an emphasis on international tax matters, M&A assistance; tax planning; managing the international elements of federal and state income tax audits; managing U.S. transfer pricing processes and documentation; ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.  

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for completion of the international components of the federal income tax returns, estimates and extensions, as well as oversight of the international subsidiaries of the Company including review of annual tax returns and assessment of reserve requirements. Responsible for income tax accounting under ASC740 for U.S. and international operations including 10K and 10Q schedules and disclosures. Lead or assist as needed on domestic governmental audits and support local finance teams on foreign government audits. Responsible for U.S. transfer pricing processes and documentation and transfer pricing documentation under OECD rules. Responsible for preparing calculations under Pillar 2, GILTI and FDII. 

Ensure compliance with SOX controls as they relate to income tax. Assist with M&A income tax issues such as due diligence, structuring, integration and purchase accounting. Assist with modeling tax planning opportunities. Manage tax projects performed by outside consultants. Conduct technical research and documentation as needed. Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary. 

Presentations to directors, vice presidents, and executive staff as needed. Travel to facilities if needed. 

Minimum qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field OR equivalent experience. 

Work Experience:

Five (5) years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting. 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to think, analyze, and report on diverse tax specifications. 

Able to influence others without direct authority and works effectively with all levels of the organization. 

Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word. 

Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP. 

Technical knowledge of corporate federal income tax and multi-state income/franchise tax. 

Proficiency in CCH or other tax research tools. 

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 

Strong attention to detail. 

Proven ability to deal with shifting priorities and deadlines. 

Preferred Job Requirements  

Education:

Master's in taxation. 

Certification / License  

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 

Work Experience:

Previous experience with SAP or equivalent ERP 

Experience in manufacturing environment  

Experience with Income Tax law, ASC 740, and Sarbanes Oxley; (income tax focus)

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
