What Is the Opportunity?
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced International Tax Specialist to join Aecon. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Global function, including tax operations and compliance activities. As the International Tax Specilist, you will be responsible for coordinating tax operations and compliance activities for the organization, ensuring that we are compliant with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and standards. This includes the preparation of the International corporate tax compliance, and monthly, quarterly and year-end tax provisions.

5 to 6 year of relevant work experience in International Tax Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting and or Masters Degree in Tax Completion of a professional designation (CPA or CFA preferred) Working towards a tax in-depth certification Strong knowledge and exposure to various international tax laws Experience in managing relationship with International Tax authorities and external advisors. Experience in managing tax compliance and reporting processes. Experience working with SAP preferred Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability for accuracy. Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational structures and functions. Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of changing tax laws and requirements for ensuring the business remains tax efficient. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills Ability to interact with various levels of management. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong leadership skills and ability mentor and coach junior staff members
