About this role:
The International Technology Change Lead is responsible for managing and driving international (EMEA and APAC) and enterprise transformation projects and regulatory/risk focused initiatives and provide leadership, governance and oversight across the project portfolio. Direct stakeholder management and being heavily engaged in targeted projects and related business/management decisions form a key part of this role. In addition, this role will be responsible for project portfolio management within international technology ensuring timely reporting, financials and resourcing strategies. This role will help to deliver the projects successfully and proactively identify potential risks and develop and implement mitigation plans and controls.
In this role, you will:
Drive the integration and implementation of programs and initiatives by leveraging relationships with functional/regional business partners, global engineering teams to ensure delivery of projects to scope and time.Apply solid foundational and process driven methodologies, this role will help drive a stable, predictable, and efficient change management capability across the international regions whilst leveraging enterprise tools and best practices.Work with functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensures plans/programs adhere to regulations and align with Wells Fargo strategy/policies and business line objectives.Establish strong relationships with Initiative leaders, internal and external partners, and senior executives across business units on project and portfolio basis.Inform, influence, and create planning for short-term/immediate business outcomes and long-term sustainability solutions. Assist in driving daily progress of engagement work and informing technology leadership of initiative status.Become a technology point person/liaison for critical projects requiring elevated focus and management oversight.Ensure timely and accurate reporting of the status and progress towards successful outcomes for the region and commitment to regulators.Manage a team of portfolio managers and technical leads, ensuring delivery of each of their individual projects and serving as the point of escalation to them.Execute regional and enterprise transformation plans and regulatory projects, including enabling design of solutions, subsequent planning, status reporting, and delivery management.Build partnerships through ongoing engagement with Wells Fargo Technology (locally and in the US) and with business, operations, risk and compliance leaders to ensure alignment of international strategies and enterprise priorities.Manage initiative financials, issues, risks and dependencies. Engage with 2nd and 3rd line risk partners and regulatory matters relating to projects and programs.Provide management reporting and executive level presentations on program status, performance, issue resolution and achievements to Technology & Business leadership team.Manage appropriate internal and external third-party consulting resources and service providers.Coordinate and participate in meetings, steering and governance committees with business sponsors and stakeholders to ensure programmes remain on track and risks/issues are highlighted and escalated as appropriate.Coach and mentor direct reports to grow and take on more responsibilities for the bank.Help drive a culture of continuous improvement and transformation programs within the Technology organisation.Operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions.Prioritise work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationManagement experienceStrong Technical background in full lifecycle software development/delivery and/or 3rd party solution implementation, ideally both in the financial sector.Demonstrable strong experience in managing large, complex, multiple technology development and delivery experience.Leveraging deep familiarity with project management processes, tools, best practices, and economics of technology development, execution and onward operations.Solid understanding and experience with budget and financial management principles, application and accountabilityDemonstrable experience in working closely with front office, Operations, Middle office and Risk/Compliance teams.Strong program or portfolio management experience specially related to regulatory projectsProven Experience in managing technology/platforms/solutions for 1 -2 of the following areas: Capital Markets/Trading, Corporate Investment Banking, Corporate Treasury/Payments.Good knowledge of EMEA Banking regulations such as MIFID, PSD2 and Transaction Reporting.Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management and to manage multiple stakeholder priorities.Highly articulate and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework experience.Good functional design skills, understanding of software design patterns.Agile Development, Cloud Implementation, AI and Global Delivery Experience.Solid understanding and experience with budget and financial management principles, application and accountability.Direct and matrix staff management and offshore resource management.
