Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Junior Computer Systems Analyst to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.

 

The corporate applications and technology we deliver include desktop and hardware support both on premises and Cloud environments. Core competencies include hardware, software, testing and requirements engineering, software and system architecture, to support our vision to provide accurate, timely and auditable data while partnering with our business partners to integrate IT/OT into their business strategy. To further enable partnership to other IT organizations, work and/or matrixing to other IT services and the organization's mission is required to deliver secure, consistent, and capable systems, networks, and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value to our customers.

 

As part of our team, the Subcontractor shall provide IT/OT (Internet of Things) support to our customers. Our Vision is to deliver secure next generation technical information solutions to our customers. We shall perform work requests for tasks assigned by the service manager, team manager/lead or team coordinator, within the work areas requested. All assignments are to be performed within the bounds of our customer agreements and service hours (Core Hours are an 8, 9 or 10 hour shift between 7:00am and 5:30pm). We work Monday-Friday and employees may choose a straight 8, 9/80, or 4x10 schedule. All work assignments shall be accounted for by appropriate project/task time charging reporting structures. Continuous adherence to our Cyber policies for technical work is required for all services. Continuous adherence to Security and Safety directives is required. General and specific tasks noted in the Responsibilities and Duties sections are assigned by the Customer Team Manager/Lead or Service Manager.

Responsibilities

Support non-standard desktop systems, equipment, and other OT (Of Things) in both networked and standalone environments.

 

Support the design, development, testing, trouble resolution, and monitoring of mission customer systems, virtual services, and routine maintenance.

 

Communicate updates to the customer and service teams on tasks, schedules, road blocks or delays, to tasks performed for inclusion in project milestones and deliverables.

Update IT records systems to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.

Review specific incoming IT service desk requests and resolve customer requirement issues.

Possess the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, networking, application, and IT services teams.

Coordinate tasks with advanced operations and matrixed teams as needed to support networked systems.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT related field and 2 years of Windows support experienceIn lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicableU.S. Citizenship is required per contract. Active Q or Top Secret clearance is required to start.Knowledge and experience of Windows desktop support, including build, install, configure, patch, remediate and troubleshoot Windows machines, peripherals and other computing devices connected.Knowledge and experience with both physical and virtual Windows desktops.Knowledge and experience with both Internet of Things (IOT) and operational technology (OT) devices.Knowledge and experience with non-standard devices and technology environments (i.e. SCADA, PLCs, Siemens, Raspberry Pi, etc.).Ability to provide customer support by phone, messaging, email, and in-person.Ability to work with suppliers and technology vendors.Previous experience doing user application support.Willingness to work on obsolete, non-standard, and standalone equipment.
