JOB SUMMARY:
The interns will work alongside seasoned culinary professionals and chefs of the award-winning Universal Orlando Culinary team to gain an immersive and hands on experience in the hospitality industry. Students will be able to gain exposure to variety of restaurant and styles of service, from signature to fast-casual and special events and our state-of-the-art production kitchen and bakery. Those chosen for this role will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to present a dish to the Universal Orlando Executive Chef panel and is ideal for those looking to learn about the fast paced and diverse world of theme park culinary operations. This program is designed to prepare students to be ready and confident to take a role in the industry after graduation, and potentially starting a career within the Universal Orlando Culinary Leadership team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Completes hands-on training within Food & Beverage to gain a holistic view of large-scale theme park operations.
+ Works within different venues as assigned, including working the line at Full Serve venues, Quick Service locations, and our Production Kitchen.
+ Performs duties within different venues as assigned.
+ Presents a dish to the Universal Orlando Executive Culinary Team as a part of a final internship presentation.
+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
+ Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
+ A transcript is required upon application.
+ Preferred majors include: Bakery & Pastry, Hospitality Management, or similar.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
+ Basic Knife skills.

+ This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
+ Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
+ Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
+ All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
