Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Calpine is seeking a team-oriented Reporting Analyst intern for its downtown location. In this role you will be collecting, analyzing, and compile information for the IT Infrastructure team. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with our team on Enterprise applications that support Calpine business units. The internship will provide real-world experience in reporting design, implementation, testing, and deployment utilizing modern methods and technologies.
Job Responsibilities
Develop Operational Reports. Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of reporting tools. Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting application. Be able to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions Create functional reporting Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Job Requirements
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, working towards Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, preferred. Rising Junior or Senior, completion of at least 30 hours. Minimum GPA 3.0 Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future for any company. Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills Must be flexible and able to work harmoniously with others Good organization skills and attention to details are essential Strong foundational knowledge in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms Experience with Scripts, Powershell, Batch, VB, and Java Good to have not required: Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML, and CSS Good to have not required: PowerBi and ServiceNow experience Good to have not required: Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack, SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
