Internship – Visual Merchandise Design (Academic Year, Fall 2025 & Spring 2026)

Submit your application as soon as possible – don’t delay! + Program Dates: Approximately September 2025 – April 2026 JOB SUMMARY: Intern will be responsible for ensuring that all visual integrity elements within Merchandise are maintained according to Visual Show Quality Standards. Serves as lead on design and execution of projects for the Visual Merchandise team as it relates to the presentation and support of product within the Merchandise divisions. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Oversees the design and participates in hands-on fabrication and installation of props, set pieces, backdrops, and other visual elements for seasonal window sets, pop-up shops, and other specialty activations. + Designs, sources, and participates in the project management of Visual merchandising-related projects, including fixture design and development, graphics, signage, mannequins, and collateral to support in-store Merchandise assortments. + Coordinates event, seasonal, and symphony collateral planning, design, coordination, procurement, hands-on fabrication, installation, scheduling, and execution. Designs and assembles the necessary scope for pop-up shops and periodic theatrical-based sets and presentations. + Manages the Visual Merch Components of new store openings and renovations and smaller in-store initiatives, including budgets, sourcing, procurement, fabrication of props/fixtures and collateral, installs, and other execution. + Parkwide Merchandise Holiday Trim and seasonal signage design, procurement, hands-on fabrication, installation, and execution. Pull together presentations for merchandise displays and assemble meaningful product presentations using existing and handmade props and displays. + Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities. + Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above. + Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. + A transcript is required upon application. + Preferred majors include: Themed Experiences, Visual Merchandising, or similar. PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: + Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Sketchup. + Familiarity with handheld and shop-based power tools and equipment, as well as varied paint applications, finishes, and techniques. Please note the following: + This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices. + Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026. + Universal Orlando does not provide housing.
