Based in Brussels, the intern will work closely with the Network Sector Coverage team members and serve as a supporting role to the team in promoting business relating to international corporates based in Belgium .Our team is looking for an intern to commit preferably up to 6 months (minimum period for internships at ING is 3 months). This internship is open to final-year Bachelor's students or those currently pursuing a Master's degree. Candidates should have an academic background in economics or business.

Main responsibilities:

Support coverage bankers with preparation, execution of deals and prospecting client presentations.Liaise with internal stakeholders including product team, lending team, risk team and legal team to assist on client account planning, credit review and documentation negotiation.Map out new opportunities and build a reasonable understanding of various ING products related to the team portfolio including Cash Management, Trade Finance, Working Capital and other strategic initiatives of ING wholesale banking.

Interest in financial services.Have good communication skills.Be proactive.Be commercially- oriented, analytical, customer- focused and keen to take initiative with existing customers as well as develop new client relationships.Be investigative and have strong learning abilities.Be willing to act in a cross-border environment.Have very good knowledge of English, knowledge of French or Dutch is an added value.
