ContiTrade is the strategic retail arm of the Continental Tires business in Europe. The business purpose of ContiTrade is to facilitate access to the respective markets & leverage Trade opportunities in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA). The scope of the ContiTrade business ranges from selling tires, tire related services and entire vehicle services for end consumers, wholesale business and fleet customers through approximately 600 equity stores and 2,300 franchise and network partners. The products and services are done through all our POS (Point of Sales), Onsite and On the road support, as well as through our e-commerce platforms.

Job Description

Hey, are you searching for an exciting internship where you can gain valuable insights into the field of Business Process Management? Then we have just the right opportunity for you!

Starting as soon as possible we are looking for you to support our team for a period of 6 months. We will mainly need you on-site in Hannover. However, we understand that there may be days where you prefer to work from home. Therefore, we will find a solution that works for all of us - remote working hours are possible in consultation with your supervisor.

You will work closely with our HQ and EMEA Operations team to analyze, improve and document processes within our retail business. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in process analysis, process optimization, process documentation and to understand operational efficiency in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

What can you expect from us:

You assist in analysing, optimising, standardizing, mapping and documenting current business processes from ContiTrade EMEA marketsCollect and analyze data to identify best practices, inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing processesYou support the development of process improvement recommendations in alignment with the Operations teamYou collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changesParticipate in creating process documentation (standards, procedures, work-instructions, swimlane diagrams) and training materialsContribute to the maintenance of process repositories and databasesAssist in preparing presentations and reports for managementYou support the team in various administrative tasks related to process management initiatives

Qualifications

You are studying in the field of Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or comparable field of study, so that you have basic knowledge in our area of expertiseFor this position it is necessary to have a basic understanding of business process modeling techniquesIf you are familiar with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) this would be a plusYou should be familiar with the popular MS Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point Fluent English and very good German language skills, written and verbal, are essential (other european languages are advantageous)

In addition to these technical requirements, we are also looking for specific qualities and skills:

You are independent, organized, detail-oriented and structured and know how to work effectively without losing trackAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills are also an advantage and can help you solve tasks effectivelyExcellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential for this position - after all, we always work together to find solutions
