Job Summary/Description:

KFVS is seeking applicants for bilingual interns in partnership with Southeast Missouri State University and three universities located in Puerto Rico that belong to the Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) program. Applicants should be in their junior or senior year at a HETS partner University and willing to live in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for a semester while attending Southeast Missouri State University. These positions will teach producing, shooting, and editing skills while contributing and creating content for Spanish-speaking Gray Television outlets. Partnership Universities include:

Inter-American University – Universidad Inter American De Puerto Rico Sacred Heart University -- Universidad Del Sagrado Carazon Ana G. Mendez University – Universidad Ana G. Mendez

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Meet enrollment criteria above
* Train with digital producer to produce/write/edit for KFVS digital properties.
* Work with a photojournalist to learn camera operation basics.
* Shadow Multi-Media Journalist to learn how to shoot/write/edit news stories for broadcast and/or streaming.
* Translate relevant stories from English to Spanish for digital properties.
* Enrolled in a HETS-affiliated school.
* Proficient in English and Spanish.

*** Intern rate of pay can range from minimum wage in your state to $15 an hour ***
