Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (6 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholder is Electrification division.You will be mainly accountable for:• Support, collaboration and independent execution of design work in SolidWorks (2d/3d) within the framework of development and product care projects• Collaboration in the area of product change management • Creation and maintenance of parts lists• Support and collaboration in product master data maintenance• Procurement of new components and prototypes• Creation of documentation

Qualifications for the role

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or in a related field of studyYou are at ease communicating in English, German is beneficialYou are confident in handling MS Office and CAD tools, preferred SolidWorksYou are able to work independently and responsiblyYou are curious and initiativeA professional qualification as an automation technician, automation fitter, switchgear fitter, electronics technician or similar is a plusNon-EU/non-EFTA citizens, please note that a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application
