ING’s Telecom, Media & Healthcare team
The Telecom, Media and Technology & Healthcare Sector Coverage team offers an exciting position in Amsterdam for an ambitious student who enjoys working in an international environment. The TMT & Healthcare sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financing solutions (Debt and Debt advisory) to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite, and healthcare companies in the EMEA region, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. We have a broad client suite (investment and non-investment grade companies, private equity, infrastructure funds, etc.) which means you will get exposure to corporate, acquisition, capex, and project finance financing structures. We cooperate with various other departments within ING such as Corporate Finance, Sustainable Finance, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Transaction Services, and Risk Management
What will your internship with TMT&H look like
The companies we cover in Amsterdam are active in the Telecommunication, Media, Entertainment, Technology, Satellite, and Healthcare sub-sectors. As an intern, you will be a member of multiple deal teams involved in transactions where you, for example, advise clients to finance data centers, fibre networks, or private hospitals. You work most closely together with team members in Amsterdam, but we also have TMT&H professionals in Frankfurt, Madrid, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Brussels, Milan and New York. As an Intern your job will be diverse, but your main tasks consist of the:
Contribute to deals by analyzing financial information, doing market research, or drafting commercial proposals;Pitching related work whereby you assist with client pitches for various of ING’s products for TMT & Healthcare clientsSupport with portfolio management activities for existing clients such as annual/quarterly credit reviews; andWork on one or more specific research topics which are driven by sector developments and in which ING wants to further develop its expertise.The complexity of the assignments and the international nature of the work and team will be a great start of your professional career. You meet the following requirements
Final year university Bachelor or Master student, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics, or FinanceCurrently living or willing to relocate to Amsterdam/Randstad AreaAnalytical, detail-oriented team-player who is proactive and takes responsibilitiesExperience or strong affinity with (corporate) FinanceStrong communicative skills in English (professional working proficiency), any other language is a plusFamiliar with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and ExcelFamiliarity with the TMT or healthcare sectors in Europe is helpful, a genuine interest is crucialThe role concerns a Hybrid role, for which you are required to be present in the office for a minimum of 3-4 days.
