Your role and responsibilities

Looking for a taste of working life in an international, future-focused corporate group? Then join us as an intern (m/f/d) and familiarise yourself with a suitable department for 3 to 6 months. You will be involved in large-scale projects and perform a defined set of duties independently. Use your internship to build a network and become familiar with our company. Our research team works on combining data driven and physics-informed AI technics to improve the automation system in process industry. Your work will focus on analyzing laboratory sensing data and physics-informed machine learning model to predict and estimate the health condition of a mechanical system, and hands-on with ABB test bench environment is also expected.The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role:•\tYou are interested in the domain of data analytics and machine learning.•\tYou will work on data analytics and physics-informed machine learning for industrial applications.•\tYou will develop mainly python packages for industrial use cases.•\tClose collaboration with our scientists and engineers. You will design, analyze, and test advanced time series analysis and physics informed deep learning algorithms.•\tWe expect that you show above-average motivation to develop demonstrators and software prototypes and proactiveness to come up with new concepts and ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.

Qualifications for the role

Currently enrolled in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar fieldStrong knowledge of Python, shell scripting, and machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, Pandas)Proficient in Git, with familiarity in Java/JavaScript and Azure (nice to have)Experience with Matlab/Simulink (nice to have)Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus
