Our competitive intern program offers interns exposure to the business world and a meaningful work experience. Team Overview:
Baird’s Department (“Ops”) is the best kept secret in the financial services industry and plays a critical role to the success and growth or the firm. We partner with the different business and functions within Baird with the goal of driving efficiencies and reducing risk to the firm.
Internship Location, Availability and Hours:
Located in our downtown Milwaukee office, the intern must be able to work part-time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, and full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week. We are seeking a local student who can start as soon as March/April 2025.
As an Operations – Commissions & Advisory Billing Intern you will:
Assist with processing commissions statementsUse technology tools to build process automation and improve commissions processesWork with financial services operational systems and technologyParticipate in daily team meetings and collaborate across the firm to help ensure highly efficient customer serviceWork in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentReceive firsthand mentoring and trainingWhat we look for:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, business analytics, economics, information technology management, information systems, or related degree preferredAnticipated graduation date of May 2026 or laterStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment and manage priorities to meet specific deadlinesExceptional organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detailStrong client service, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skillsInterest in technology such as coding (ex.
