Internship- Reliability test and data analysis engineer
Introduction to the job

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.  HMI D&E is an SEM inspection and metrology tool research and product development center in San Jose.  HMI supplies semi-conductor chip maker the most advance inspection and metrology tool with the resolution of 1 nm.  

The intern will work with our software engineers and test engineers to improve our Data Acquisition (DAS) codes for Reliability tests to make it more robust, accurate, and reliable for reliability testing.

This position does not require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).

Role and responsibilitiesMain responsibilities of this position are working with our software engineers and test engineers to improve our DAS system for HALT test machine.Understand the software structures and interface of the DAS system for data generation and collection during the testing.Understand the hardware interface between the control computer, instruments and HALT chamber in our DAS system.Maintain the data acquisition system and team website when it is needed.

Education and experienceMS degree in EE, CS, ECE, ECS or electronic engineering related majors.  Computer program skills and familiar with Python, Sharepoint and other language.Understand basic electrical / electronic schematics.Eager to learn and self-taught.Experience or interesting in website development with Sharepoint.Skills

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
