Internship - Supply Chain - Materials Management

Summary Description:

As a Materials Management Intern at Refresco, you will support the supply chain team by working on data analysis, dashboard creation, and strategic projects aimed at optimizing material management processes. This internship offers valuable experience in data management, SAP systems, and Power BI, and provides exposure to key business functions like supplier management and inventory control.

Materials Management Intern:

Project(s): Historical Analysis and Data Clean Up

Develop a dashboard using Power BI to maintain and analyze historical supplier volumes by commodity (including receipts, consumption, contracts, etc.) and identify key trends over time (forecast accuracy, identifying supply chain inefficiencies, etc.). This will involve data gathering, cleaning, and visualization. Support master data clean-up efforts in SAP for source list, contracts, etc. and report on data quality.

Standard work/Support: Dashboards, Rundowns and Contracts

Utilize Power BI to refresh databases and update weekly reporting for material KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as unplanned downtime caused by materials, inventory DOS (Days of Supply), forecast pacing, etc.) Support rundown projects by gathering data and contributing to discussion-making in efforts to mitigate excess exposure in the network, such as redesigns, discontinuations, regulations, etc. Support gathering data and performing analysis for supplier network quantity contracts aligning with EOQ (Economic Order Quantities) strategies to generate supplier production of raw materials.

 Required Skills and Competencies:

The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work with multiple groups in a team environment, sound judgement and critical thinking as well as the ability to work well independently with less structured and more complex tasks is a must. Highly motivated to succeed, fast learner, team player with positive attitude High level of integrity, professional attitude, reliable and dependable Strong analytical, structured problem solving and decision-making abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to understand the big picture as well as pay attention to detail Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work 40 hours per week (Full-Time) during summer session.

 Education and Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university majoring in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business 1+ years of completed coursework by May 2025 This internship will not offer course credit

 Working Conditions:

Physical Demands– Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature. Visual/Sensory – This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time. Work environment – Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure. Mental Stress – There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, project management, accuracy or similar demands. Working Location: Tampa, FL - In-office Required
