Job DescriptionThe Winter Tire Line Development for passenger car tires at our location Hannover-Stöcken oversees developing new tire lines that meet the ever-increasing challenges and tough requirements of the market. We also provide custom-made products for our OEM customers. While building and testing prototype tires are an integral part of our development process, vehicle tests are laborious and expensive. Therefore, it is very important to continuously improve our understanding of tire mechanics to further develop our simulation tools. This task is harder when developing winter tires due to the more complex nature of mechanics involved.
Within this exciting work environment, we are offering an internship position starting as soon as possible. For the best learning experience possible, the internship should require a duration of at least 3 months.
Tasks include:
Gathering test resultsRunning simulation and compiling the resultsComparison of test results with simulation resultsEvaluation of the simulation tool and documenting the outcomePossibly, development of a correlation tool based on test results if neededQualificationsStudents (m/f/diverse) that study mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, or similar engineering disciplines or natural sciences.Ideally having a specialization in vehicle dynamicsCompetent handling of MS-OfficeKnowledge of Python, Matlab or similarVery good English and good German language skill (written and spoken)Strong analytical thinkingEagerness to learnStrong communication skills and good time managementPlease remember to attach your current certificate of enrollment and also your current transcripts of records and an extract of certificate for a mandatory internship.
