Job Summary
Facilitate effective communication between Korean and English speaking teams both in South Korea and UK, and between Ocado and Lotte project team. Translate supporting materials for meetings as well as translating other documentation within the business. Work closely with and complement the centralised translation and language support functions based in Ocado’s global HQ in the UK.

Roles and Duties
Provide consecutive verbal interpretation - this can be both online and in-person and may include both internal and external meetings (at every level of the organisation), classes and training sessions, or individual communications between two people or small groups of people. It may also include speeches at events in rare cases. It is crucial that they interpret as accurately as possible, in real time without leaving out or changing any critical information that is being communicated. Provide written translation, both English to Korean and Korean to English, that effectively and accurately conveys the intended meaning of the content. This can include meeting minutes, presentations, spreadsheets, and other documentation as required. Ensure communications are understandable and convey intended meaning. Proof read translated documentation for grammar, spelling and punctuality. Ensure to use industry-specific terminology and translate technical documents as needed. Support the creation and maintenance of re-usable assets (e.g. glossaries). Use automated tools such as MemSource where appropriate to provide quick translations for internal consumption. Provide project management of multiple simultaneous translation or interpretation requests from several stakeholders. Provide broad language support,which may include but not be limited to translation of business development or implementation project documentation, UIs or a variety of contexts where knowledge of Korean and English to a very deep level will be useful. Requirement
Fluency in English, written and verbal. Fluency in [insert local language] , written and verbal. Professional qualification in interpretation. Professional localisation and linguistics experience Good verbal and written communication skills Ability and flexibility to work in a fast working environment, to tight deadlines and shifting schedules Previous experience supporting an IT, logistics, technical or retail sector Eye for detail and a natural inclination towards accuracy Fast learner, and motivated by learning Google Suite/Teams/Slack usage experience*This job is fixed term contract with 9 months, start from 28th April, 2025
