We are seeking an experienced Intersystems HealthShare Developer to join our healthcare technology team. This role involves developing, integrating, and maintaining healthcare applications using Intersystems HealthShare, a comprehensive health informatics platform. The developer will be responsible for data integration, system interoperability, and providing support for health information exchange (HIE) systems, ensuring that healthcare data flows efficiently and securely across systems.

Responsibilities Develop and maintain applications and integrations using Intersystems HealthShare.Implement healthcare integration projects, focusing on interoperability between different healthcare systems (e.g., EMRs, EHRs, and other clinical systems).Design and develop data interfaces for health information exchange (HIE) leveraging HL7, FHIR, CDA, and other healthcare data standards.Collaborate with stakeholders (developers, analysts, healthcare professionals) to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the proper flow and exchange of healthcare data.Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and interface errors, ensuring smooth operations of healthcare systems and timely data sharing.Develop custom solutions using HealthShare to address specific business requirements.Provide technical support and ongoing maintenance for HealthShare-based applications and interfaces.Ensure data security and compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and other industry standards.Document technical specifications, system designs, and integration workflows. Required Experience/Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Intersystems HealthShare development or similar healthcare integration roles.Prior experience in healthcare IT environments, working with healthcare data and system interoperability.Strong experience with Intersystems HealthShare platform.In-depth knowledge of HL7, FHIR, CDA, and other healthcare messaging standards.Proficiency in ObjectScript and other Intersystems-related technologies.Familiarity with healthcare systems like EHR/EMR (Epic, Cerner, etc.).Experience in SQL databases and integration engines (e.g., Ensemble, Cloverleaf).Solid understanding of web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) for API development and integration.Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in healthcare IT or health information exchange (HIE) is highly desirable.VistA, VA FileMan, or Legacy MUMPS experience helpful but not necessary. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Relevant certifications in HealthShare or healthcare integration technologies (preferred).
