Interventional Radiologist
Job Title: Radiologic TechnologistJob Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to assist in physician-supervised procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure proper sterile preparation of patient access areas and maintain competence in performing radiologic diagnostic imaging procedures. This role requires maintaining professional, clinical, and technical competency, as well as proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities + Assist during physician-supervised procedures with proper sterile preparation of patient access areas, procedure trays, and supplies. + Ensure proper documentation of contrast material use and related patient charges. + Perform radiologic diagnostic imaging procedures incorporating access techniques for various body locations. + Complete mandatory educational assignments as provided by the supervisor, nurse manager, or director. + Adhere to organizational policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and maintaining a safe work environment. + Report any detrimental actions to co-workers, patients, physicians, and the organization. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring rooms and equipment are cleaned prior to each procedure. + Follow organizational policies for infection reduction. + Maintain required state and national licensure, life support certification, and IV competence. + Utilize the inventory tracking system and order supplies as needed. + Maintain proper radiation protection and ensure personal radiation monitoring devices are worn appropriately. + Participate in patient safety procedures, including 'time out' and post-procedure 'huddles'. + Participate in regular on-call responsibilities and work overtime as needed. + Assist in the training process for technologist preceptorship and provide support to Radiology residents. + Perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies as assigned. + Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) within 90 days. + Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). + Basic Life Support Heart saver (BLS HS) - American Heart Association (AHA). + American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within 3 years of hire or transfer. + High School Graduate. + Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program. + 1 or more years of broad interventional exposure. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates Degree. + Bachelors Degree. + Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or other radiology specialties preferred. Work Environment This is a full-time position with shift times from 8am to 6:30pm. The role requires weekend call, varied on-call as needed, and rotating call on holidays. No travel is required.
