Interventional Radiology Tech (FT- 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift)

Position Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technician works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Assists physicians in the completion of minimally invasive vascular imaging procedures to include, but not be limited to, peripheral and visceral angiography, stent placement, angioplasty, thrombectomy, thrombolysis, ablations, embolization, biopsies, central venous access, drain placement, and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, in addition to the duties of a radiologic technologist. Must work in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
+ Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology Program
+ Current Montana Licensure (Radiology Technologist)
+ Current R.T. (R)(VI) (ARRT) or complete within one year of hire
+ American Heart Association BLS
Preferred
+ Prior Interventional radiology/Vascular Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
+ Understands how to set, adjust and control a variety of electronic equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiographic examinations
+ Is competent in sterile technique to include sterile tray and room set up
+ Has knowledge of all exams that can be performed in the Vascular lab or Interventional labs and can explain components to patients and families
+ Performs Ultrasound (US), CT, fluoroscopic guided and angiographic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside interventional radiologist
+ Performs ultrasound and fluoroscopic diagnostic procedures alongside diagnostic radiologist and/or advanced practice clinicians.
+ Performs radiological exams and special procedures as requested by medical staff
+ Performs post procedural image reconstruction as necessary
+ Proficient with EMR documentation, procedure billing documentation, PACS management and RIS input
+ Assists radiology nursing with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
+ Performs ancillary duties required to maintain proper distribution, billing, archiving of exams and procedures
+ Participates in the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the hospital quality indicators
+ Stroke Competency:
+ Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke
+ Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stoke) education within one year of hire
+ Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education

Schedule Requirements
+ This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
+ The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
+ On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
