This role is Monday – Friday (4) 10-hour shifts. 1-2 call shifts per week and one call weekend per month. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation are available for those eligible.

The Interventional Radiology Technician 2 provides high-quality imaging using various modalities such as neurovascular and endovascular angiography examinations. Collaborates with teams to collect data pre/post-procedure and prepare patients for procedures in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR). Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing, and inventory equipment in CVIR. Acts as a Liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units. Participates with teams in unit assignment quality assurance projects.
Responsibilities
Effectively utilizes Inova Health System Inventory Management systems. Assists RNs to accurately explain procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety. Troubleshoots equipment effectively and places service calls to Biomedical when necessary. Anticipates procedure flow and works with other team members to produce the highest quality care. Provides a safe environment and identifies hazards immediately. Follows unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.Requirements
Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional(CI) Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist is required only if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital. Experience - One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist. Education -Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred.
