Responsibilities
Job Summary
As a Per Diem Interventional Technologist, you will play a key role in performing special interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations under the guidance of a licensed physician, using advanced radiologic imaging techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful completion of critical procedures, improving patient outcomes and care.
Essential Job Functions:Prepare for Procedures: Review procedure orders, gather necessary materials, and ensure that all equipment is ready for use in a sterile environment.Perform Procedures: Operate C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography equipment to perform diagnostic and therapeutic exams, assisting with patient data capture for provider interpretation.Provide Patient Care: Deliver compassionate care for patients of all ages during exams and procedures, assist with patient transfers, and communicate effectively between patients and physicians.Technical Expertise: Perform advanced techniques, including wire, catheter, balloon management, ablations, implantations, coilings, and other specialized procedures.Assist Physicians: Support physicians during procedures using sterile technique in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring documentation in the electronic medical record, hemodynamic monitoring system, and Radiation Information Systems (RIS).Emergency Response: Act promptly and efficiently in emergency situations, responding in line with your scope of practice.Why St. Clare Hospital?At St. Clare Hospital, we are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Qualifications
Education/Work Experience Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures Technologist (or equivalent).
Licensure/CertificationAmerican Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is required.Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification required.Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.ACLS certification preferred.
