Inventory Agent - Materials Management (FT- 1 FTE, Mid Shift)

Position Summary: 

The Inventory Agent maintains the organizations medical, surgical services supplies inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements. May be responsible for teaching quarterly Infor Lawson Classes, building & updating PAR Carts, working with departments on updating their ordering templates, and printing labels for all appropriate locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

High School Diploma1 year of material management/inventory control required, 2 years in a healthcare environment

Preferred

Associate Degree in Material Management preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.Reviews inventory reports with inventory management.Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.Manages and maintains inventory system.Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.Performs other related duties as requested.

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Lift 30 pounds of weight (pick up supplies, move equipment, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies.Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shiftsOn-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needsEffective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologiesHandling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients, families, or employeesRepetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities
