Location Description Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing finished goods inventories. This would include controlling stocking levels of all items as well as maintaining accurate inventory control to protect our company’s investment while meeting our customer’s needs. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Control aged product and rotation. • Alert management and the transportation coordinator of any discrepancies with shipments. • Work closely with the clerk and leads concerning issues with the inventory, receipts or shipments. • Work with MFI locations for intercompany shipments and discrepancies. • Preparation of documents, reconciliation of inventory, investigate OD&D’s. • Work with customer service, supervisor, and manager concerning inventory shortages for customers. • Closely watch and monitor the tasks in TRM for any issues or completion. • Watch the product needs and ensure inbound receipts are completed in order as needed. • Work with QA and Customer Service for return orders. • Excellent communication and customer relations skills for working with other departments, customer service, coworkers and answering incoming calls. • Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner. • General office duties to include answering phones, faxing and filing documents. • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products. • Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Minimum one year experience in warehousing and computer skills. Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to use standard office technology such as a computer, copier/fax machine and phone system. • High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Effectively read, write and speak English. • Strong math and configuration is necessary PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee.
