The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA Ann Arbor seeks a creative and driven professional for the role of Spares Inventory Analyst responsible for spares or aftermarket inventory. The inventory analyst will be responsible for managing spares total inventory, including monitoring volume and spend to meet operational goals.  This position will play a key role in projecting and setting inventory targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.  The analyst will dissect inventory levels across various product categories, assess trends, and recommend corrective actions to optimize stock levels.  A strong understanding of a spares business model, inventory finance, and financial impact of inventory reserves is preferred.  The role requires a strategic thinker who can translate insights into actionable inventory control measures.

Key Responsibilities:


•    Inventory management:  Maintain and monitor overall inventory levels, costs, and stock positioning to meet organizational objectives.
•    Volume and spend analysis:  Track and analyze inventory volumes and spending to ensure alignment with the budget and operational goals.
•    Goal Setting:  Collaborate with leadership to project and set inventory goals, ensuring sufficient inventory levels to support the business while avoiding stockouts.
•    Inventory Forecasting:  use historical data and trend analysis to forecast required inventory levels, adjusting as necessary based on business demands and market conditions.
•    Product-Level dissection:  Conduct detailed analysis of inventory by product category to understand why certain stock levels exist, identify imbalances, and develop corrective actions to optimize inventory.  
•    Corrective Actions: Identify opportunities to right-size inventory and implement corrective measures to address excess, obsolete, or low-turn stock.
•    Preferred Experience in Spares Management:  Apply knowledge of spare business models to optimize inventory levels for spare parts, ensuring adequate stock without over-investing.
•    Inventory Finance:  Collaborate with the finance team to track the financial impact of inventory management decisions.
•    Financial Reserves Impact:  Understand and evaluate the financial impact of inventory reserves, including excess and obsolete inventory reserves, to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
•    Performance Metrics:  Track key inventory performance indicators, such as inventory turn over rates and other measures.
•    Collaboration:  Work closely with procurement, finance, product planning, manufacturing operations, and supply planning to align inventory levels.
•    Continuous Improvement:  Recommend and implement improvements to inventory policies, procedures, and systems to optimize supply chain efficiency and customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in statistics and probability is a plus

Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services is a plus

Experience with SAP ERP system is a plus

Strong preference for experience in semiconductor equipment industry or other sophisticated, high-mix, low-volume products

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience or equivalent experience

Experience with multiple aspects of sophisticated supply chain operation Experience with Supply and demand management efficiency (upturn and downturns)and achieving cost reduction
