Inventory Analyst

SUMMARY

Managing a minimum of $10 Million in working capital for 820+ stores, in multiple businesses, for one Category Management Team, the Inventory Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company's products or services meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. Working in cross-functional groups, the Inventory Analyst will support replenishment to stores and a growing Ecommerce presence from 3 Distributions Centers and an Omni-Fulfillment Center. 

JOB DUTIES

Demand Forecasting Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for product categories based on historical data, market trends, and input from cross-functional teams. Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on demand forecasts and inventory planning. Use expertise in Blue Yonder Demand and Fulfillment to develop demand forecasts accurately and efficiently. Allocation Product Flow to Stores - Own parameters/forecasts to facilitate continued auto replenishment of basic goods.  Manage basic forecasts in our replenishment system. Maintain Store/DC inventory levels and various master data fields.  Plan weekly flow of fashion programs to ensure inventory is aligning with sales plans and store capacity.  Product Flow into Distribution Centers - Creating and releasing scheduled Replenishment and Fashion Program purchase orders, working with Planning and Merchant team to follow inventory goals.  Tracking/Managing changes, timing, and reporting out regular updates to CMT, Leadership, and other cross functional partners on Purchase Orders. Collaborate with merchant team and vendors to manage the best possible relationship and have open lines of communication. 

Performance Monitoring Continually monitor and analyze key performance metrics in D&F, SAP as well as in Excel/Tableau based tools to continuously improve forecast accuracy. Regularly analyze and report on performance trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement. Implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and inventory optimization. Understand how merchandise planning systems and processes interact with demand forecasts and use knowledge to ensure all groups are aligned on inventory movement activities. System Parameter Execution Execute updates to parameters and settings in Blue Yonder Demand and Fulfillment and SAP as necessary based on JOANN guidelines and direction from leaders. Understand the innerworkings of Blue Yonder Demand and Fulfillment to enable quick actions when necessary. Work with Inventory Management leaders and cross functional teams to determine the best systemic course of action to immediate problems. Collaborate with supply chain as a subject matter expert on the movement of category goods and the function of systems and their demand forecasts. 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Analytics, Administration, Supply Chain, Business or related field

Experience Minimum: 3+ years of experience in a Planning/Supply Chain/ Replenishment focused role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Solid financial acumen with the ability to manipulate large data sets, to align on analytical based decisionsDetail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills, leadership, team management and ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams Extensive knowledge of Replenishment, Demand Planning and Supply Chain processes and functions  Microsoft Product Suite experience, particularly Microsoft Excel
