Reporting into the Materials Management Group, the Inventory Analyst facilitates the Cycle Count process between Finance, Supply Chain and Production. Works closely with Warehouse and Planning personnel to ensure inventory accuracy.
Duties:
Carries out daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counting procedureCounts and verifies inventory requests on demand from supporting departments.Completes detailed investigations into discrepancies, providing backup justification to supportPerforms required inventory adjustments as justified, making decisions on cause and adjustment type.Tracks inventory variances and investigates root causes. Makes recommendations to improve processMaintains processes for customer owned inventory. Participates in Customer stock taking audits and inventory reconciliation. Adheres to contractual requirements of customer.Works with all stakeholders to streamline material movement and consumption through manufacturingFacilitates and maintains automated and non-automated Kanban processesWorks in conjunction with stakeholders to determine best practice for optimal WIPAdvises when discrepancies/adjustments have potential to affect production supply and demand.Drives initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories and to reduce days on handMaintains counting/weighing equipment and ensures regular calibrationDetermines and improves counting methods for difficult to count itemsSupports Supply Chain initiatives for VMI for space and cost optimization for manufacturingAny other duties as required by the companyRequired Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Inventory related role.Experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.Good written and verbal communication skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office Suite. Especially Excel.Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills.The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.Ability to adapt and deliver in a past paced and constantly changing environment.Balance changing priorities and demanding workflow.Ability to lift 30 pounds without restriction and stand/walk for long periods of time.Support and demonstrate safe work practices and a healthy work environment.Is excited about our products, their structure and complexity and have a willingness to always learn.Has a desire to seek opportunities to understand our manufacturing processes and material and be part of Continuous Improvement teams.Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience. 6 months Assembly experience preferredDiverse & Inclusive Employer
