Inventory Analyst Sr
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
Sr. Inventory Analyst works diligently with the business to support worldwide Inventory control,as well as to providing the analysis on the safety inventory level. Sr. Inventory Analyst also works closely with planning, supply chain and business teams on making the decision of proper safety inventory and other required actions.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Reviews and maintains the safety inventory level, make sure the safety stock is updated and accurate based on the updated forecast in certain period.
2. Co-ordinate with planner and supply chain to set up the safety inventory and analyze inventory on stock usage.
3. Collaborate cross functionally, to answer questions related to inventory and operational processes from all departments
4. Prepares inventory reports by collecting and analyzing information on the needed inventory reports
5. Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
6. Provides technical support and communicates with the respective areas of Operations.
7. Communicate openly with the IT department to ensure areas of concern are limited within the technical areas of challenges
8. Coordinate/support to the warehouse cycle count in term of reconciliation report and system adjsutemnt
9. Management of inventory at multiple external locations in line with the requirements of the operation.
10. Support SAP maintenance - ODM master material module.
11. Assists in the training of new personnel.
12. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
13. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
14. Other duties as assigned.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
+ Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
+ Also works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
+ Interfaces with internal customers in all functional areas.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and SAP.
Basic knowledge for SAP.
+ Good communication and organization skills.
+ Attention to detail.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ Minimum five (5) years experience in data entry and either materials control or inventory control.
+ Experience in handling Cycle count reconciliation.
+ Familiar with SAP - material master.
+ Experience in supply chain/ material planning background with understanding of MRP logic is preferred.
**EDUCATION:**
**Essential:**
+ Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory / Material Management or similar.
+ Certification in APICS CPIM, CIRM and other relevant professional certifications is preferred.
