Unity Lab Services is a business segment that provides critical outsourced on-site services at customer locations. On-site support is required Monday through Friday.

This position is passionate about service delivery excellence within Unity Lab Services! The portfolio of key services relative to the job function include: order entry, order management, stockroom services, material handling, shipping/receiving, and chemical tracking.

A day in the Life:Leads a team of approximately 10-15 on-site staff. Participates in the candidate selection process, trains, and evaluates staff’s performance. Supervises staff in a manner that is consistent with our organizational culture, which is based on 4i-values. Actively seeks development opportunities for team members and self. Promotes a friendly environment, good morale and cooperation.Ensures customer needs are met and high-quality service is delivered through a variety of means including: staff meetings, exceeding service levels, monitoring of the site performance, efficiency, and attendance records. Assists in determining the resolution of all customer situations in a timely manner. Reinforces a customer focused orientation.Interacts with management, sales and the customers on matters concerning functional areas within the department regularly.Collaborates with Program Manager and/or Site Manager to quantify all aspects of value creation for the customer through thorough data collection and reporting.Report business metrics, target and define new opportunities, act as resource for sales team, act as resource for the customer in the area of service, savings and opportunities.Evaluates employees’ training needs, identifies possible solutions and arranges for needed training and development. Ensures that employees are cross trained and develops employees to build a career path and succession plan.

Keys to Success:

Education

High school diploma/GED required.Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Experience3-5 years of dynamic proven experience in applicable field with GXP experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and proactive approach in all duties.Ability to establish and champion positive customer relationships.Ability to present and articulate points by verbal and written communications.Demonstrate expertise in the ability to identify inefficiencies in any process and make recommendations for improvement.Detail oriented, technically proficient, organized, problem solver, promotes team environment.Willingness to work overtime as the need arises.

Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentWorks primarily at customer sites, which may require independent work at the customer locations. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment must be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hoods, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes (required for all colleagues), bump hats, and/or safety glasses.Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally.Regularly use equipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts, etc. to push/pull up to 100lbsRegularly required to stand, walk and conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, etc.) for prolonged periods.Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms, outside, etc.)Ability to work overtime, or independently, as needed.Benefits
