Inventory Clerk
Description We are in search of a meticulous Part-Time Inventory Clerk to join our team situated in Henrico, Virginia. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be tasked with managing and coordinating inventory and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of orders. This role falls within the industry and is a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process and manage orders using computer systems • Handle the picking and packing of orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Manage the transfer of products between warehouses, including handling related paperwork and coordination • Responsible for receiving raw materials and packaging materials into the computerized inventory system in a timely manner • Generate and dispatch Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers and maintain communication to confirm POs, check pricing, and update as necessary • Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and investigate any issues related to damages, shortages, or rejected deliveries • Oversee the process of arranging trucking and verifying delivery status • Ensure the sample room is well-stocked and organized, and handle the packing and transportation of orders for pick-ups. Requirements • Must have previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems • Proven ability to perform order picking tasks efficiently • Demonstrable experience with packing lists • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent organization and multitasking skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks • Knowledge of inventory control and record-keeping • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Physical ability to frequently lift heavy items • Willingness to work in different shifts as required • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
