Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor
Your role and responsibilitiesReads packing slips or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be received.Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets. Conveys materials from stage areas to stock locations within plant.Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.Operates shrink wrap machine to wrap products for shipment prep.Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.Consolidate material within rack locations to generate empty spaces.Transfer hazardous materials to the chemical storage building.
Qualifications for the roleHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Ability to learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions.Ability to solve problems in a standardized situation with some variables.Ability to work in a high noise environment that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 pounds.Flexible in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for weekends, overtime and holiday shifts.Interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to work on their feet for long hoursAbility to lift heavy boxesAccounting and arithmetic skills, including knowledge of invoicing and supplier paymentsAbility to use tracking and recording devices, such as handheld scannersAbility to update databases and keep accurate recordsKnowledge of industrial logistics and supply chainsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
