Shipping Clerk: Racine
Shipping Level I
POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
This position is responsible to ensure accuracy of all domestic, international, marketing, dealer and direct orders that are shipped from company. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in shipments and customer service by verifying correct quantities and products on orders, keeping accurate shipping information, preparing documents and adhering to the regulations of the Department of Transportation (DOT) all while ensuring safety and cleanliness in all shipping areas. All warehouse personnel must maintain strict adherence to all shipping/warehouse documentation that has been established with strict adherence to the Quality Manual System Manufacturing Procedures in accordance with ISO 13485.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Verify and screen orders
• Pull and pack using a pick list
• Record shipping data accurately ; according to requirements
• Prepare required shipping documents such as: shipping labels, invoices, bills of lading
• Adhere to the regulations of (DOT)
• Follow all ISO standards as they apply to the department
• Keep assigned work area cleaned
• Assist with cleanliness of entire warehouse
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to stay organized in a fast paced environment
• Must be a detailed oriented, fast paced individual
• Basic mathematical, (English) reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Must be able to communicate and understand oral instructions
• Must be able to stand, lift (up to 50lbs), and bend for an 8 + hour shift
• Must be able to adapt to new processes and procedures
• Must be able to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
• Basic Computer Skill
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education requirements: High School Diploma preferred, GED accepted.
Minimum of 3 months previous shipping or relevant experience required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a first shift Monday through Friday position in a warehouse environment with periodic overtime required.
