\nThe Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for overseeing the movement of and transactions associated with our raw materials, WIP and FG inventory. This person will interact with the purchasing, manufacturing, forecasting and operations departments.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Investigate inventory variances, determine root cause and implement corrective actions including reconciliation of manufacturing transactions. Audit shop orders for set-up or transactional errors. Audit material movement between sites through external shipments. Develop inventory storage plan in warehouse based on forecasted volume. Leads monthly cycle counting and annual physical inventories including variance analysis. Ensure all inventory stock movements are being executed accurately and promptly. Evaluate material usage and assist in establishing adequate bin locations. Recommend operational process improvements and develop strategies to enhance performance, systems, accuracy levels and inventory touch points. Collaborate with the Finance Department on inventory valuation, variances, SLOB and corrective actions Manage integrity of inventory data in ERP & WMS. Develop standard operating procedures and business processes related to inventory control activities. Develop a team of individuals to ensure data integrity and timely processing of all transactions. Assist in other warehouse, logistics and general functions as required. \n Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, APICS certification a plus. Experience with ERP and MRP systems, preferably IFS and Cedar Bay. Must have a thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals in all areas of the business. Experience in working with manufacturing work orders preferred. Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk and perform seated desk work for up to 8 hours per day Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends with short notice Typical office/manufacturing environment with heat/cold and machinery with shelves overhead and above work surfaces \nBenefits
