Inventory Control Analyst - Cycle Count
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Inventory Control Analyst - Cycle Count** to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + **Optimizing Inventory Levels** : By using statistical analysis and validated planning parameters, you'll ensure optimal inventory levels, aligning supply with demand and driving stability in the supply chain. + **Ensuring Health and Safety** : Reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards, and complying with HSE standards will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment. + **Maintaining Quality Standards** : Following standard work procedures and performing quality checks on planning parameters will help maintain high-quality standards and support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP). + **Analyzing Supply and Demand** : Conducting supply and demand analysis and highlighting areas of concern will help the team anticipate and address potential issues over the next 12 months. + **Simulating and Reporting** : Running planning parameter setting changes in a simulation environment and providing detailed reports will help assess the impact on key performance indicators (KPIs) and guide decision-making. + **Monitoring and Adjusting Plans** : Keeping an eye on signals indicating abnormal demand or stock levels and making necessary adjustments will ensure the supply schedule remains accurate and responsive. + **Taking Ownership** : Owning and being accountable for the disaggregate demand plan, supply plan, and inventory plan will ensure they meet customer needs and align with business goals. + **Effective Communication and Teamwork** : Communicating effectively within your team and with support teams, and participating in improvement projects, will foster collaboration and continuous improvement. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + **Optimizing Work Processes** : Continuously improve processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This involves knowing the best methods to get things done and always looking for ways to enhance them. + **Materials Planning System Utilization** : Use the materials planning system as your primary tool for managing supply and demand plans. Address exception messages and alerts based on root cause analysis, and occasionally use tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS for problem-solving. + **Plan for Every Part (PFEP)** : Apply PFEP principles to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place. Focus on the relationships between master data management, materials planning parameters, engineered material flows, transport management, and warehouse management. + **Inventory Management and Optimization** : Use analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels across the supply chain. Provide guidance on planning parameter refinement and develop inventory strategies that align with the overall company strategy. + **Materials KPI Management** : Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand supply chain performance and end-customer impact. Strategically balance trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact on others. + **Network Master Supply Planning** : Use statistical analysis and collaborate with other disciplines to align the supply plan with the demand plan. Balance supply and demand to achieve financial and service objectives while stabilizing and optimizing the supply chain. + **Health and Safety** : Champion proactive health and safety behaviors. Identify, report, and participate in actions to improve health and safety, contributing to an injury-free workplace and fostering a culture of safety. + **Effective Communication and Teamwork** : Communicate effectively within your team and with support teams. Participate in improvement projects and complete training and personal development in line with business requirements and career goals. **Education/Experience:** High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Additional Information:** Forklift certified. Cycle counting, Physical Inventories, & Material Investigations require PIV movements. Oracle knowledge and system navigational expertise. **Compensation:** Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
